(Aliplanktos)
From the ancient Greek word ἀλιπλάγκτος, describing one who has wandered the sea shaped by waves, currents, and the passing of time before reaching the shore.
Κῆρ 18.06 is part of our Aegean Diary a place and a date that became part of our story. Some mark the day a shell was found. Others mark a memory we never wanted to lose.
In Homeric Greek, Κῆρ (kēr) means more than the heart. It is the seat of life, emotion, and the innermost self.
The shell that inspired this piece was found exactly as you see it. Its form was not shaped by human hands, but by the sea itself. Resembling the human heart, it feels as though the sea once left a small part of itself upon the shore.
Every PAISIOS item is entirely handcrafted, which means that two pieces of the same design will never be exactly the same. These small differences, along with the mix of traditional and experimental techniques we use, give each creation its own character and make it truly unique.
