Taking care of your silver jewelry means making sure it stays with you for a lifetime. Here’s everything you need to know about wearing and maintaining your pieces.
How to Wear Cuffs Properly
Our cuffs are solid sterling silver and carefully handcrafted. Silver is a flexible material, but its malleability depends on the thickness of the piece. With proper handling, it’s very hard for them to break — but they must be opened and closed gently.
Always use both hands to open the cuff slightly from each side.
Never pull only one side outward with force — this stresses the metal.
To wear: hold the cuff with the hand that feels most natural, place one side on the soft inner part of your wrist, and gently slide it around until it sits comfortably.
To remove: simply reverse the same movement.
Avoid sudden or harsh bends — every piece has its own way of being handled, and with the right care, it will last forever.
Maintenance & Shine
Silver is a precious metal, and over time it naturally tarnishes. This can happen due to skin chemistry, environmental conditions, or even perfume (we recommend avoiding direct contact with perfumes or sprays when wearing your jewelry).
To bring back the original shine, you can use baking soda:
1. Take a small bowl and sprinkle baking soda inside.
2. Add a few drops of water to create a paste.
3.Rub the paste gently over your jewelry until it shines again.
Extra tip: For detailed areas, use a soft toothbrush to reach every corner.
Important: Only use this method occasionally. Frequent polishing with baking soda may remove the intentional oxidation (the darkened effect) that gives each Paisios piece its unique character.
